Lower Hunza:

The area comprises the villages on the north side of the Hunza River between Khizarabad and Hasanabad, the majority of the villagers are Shinaa speaking (the language also spoken in Gilgit and then down up to Chilas district of Diamer.


Central Hunza:

Sometimes referred to as ‘Hunza Proper’, this is the area above Hunza River between Hassanabad and Shishkat. Its capital was Baltit, which has been largely integrated within the newer settlement of Karimabad. Most of the inhabitants are Broshuski speakers.


Upper Hunza:

Also known as Gojal, this is the area further north along the Hunza River and KKH, between Shishkat and the Khunjerab Pass into China. Most of the inhabitants speak Wakhi (also spoken in Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan).

  2. Half day excursion to Nagar valley and see Hoper glacier.
  3. Full day excursion to Gulmit and trekking alongside Passu glacier.
  4. Full day excursion for Nagar 1 and then trekking for Rakaposhi base camp.
